The Aerial Surveying & Mapping Project of Jiangdi Reservoir Hub Engineering for Guili Lijiang River Water Supply
---- Undertaken by Supresoft Inc.

The Aerial Surveying & Mapping Project of Jiangdi Reserv-oir Hub Engineering is a comprehensive water conserv-ancy survey engineering, whose survey contents include the full-element digital line graphics (DLG), digital eleva-tion models (DEM) and digital orthophoto map (DOM). In addition, a variety of tasks concerning water conservancy

and water energy should be preformed such as digital 3D terrain landscape production and roaming, river profile and cross section diagrams, land utilization situation diagrams, fea-ture marking & statistics of submersed area, reservoir capacities and areas calculation at different water submersed levels.
The project is the first stage of Lijiang River survey engineering with about 150km2 aerial photography area with scale of 1:12,000. The aerial camera adopts RC30 with focal length of 153mm. Hereinto, the river bottom reservoir area accounts about 30km2, where the 1:2000 DLG, DEM and DOM were created and the 3D digital terrain landscape was produced. Aerial photos with scale of 1:6000 is performed under the river bottom dam area of about 15km2, and hereinto, the topographic maps with scale of 1:1000 were completed in the area of about 6km2 between the upstream and the downstream dams. Breaking through the basic modes of the traditional 4D products, this survey engineering produced the 3D terrain landscape in the surveyed area, and reproduced the real topographic features in the Lijiang River area through landscape mass data roaming. In particular, it is the first time that the project had made use of the digital photogrammetric system to complete contents with a variety of specialties involved in water conservancy and water energy, fully satisfying the requirements of the water conservancy engineering and achieving good results, which has created a favorable beginning for the further extension and deep utilization in the water conservancy system of the digital photogrammetric technology and 3D visualization technology of the Supresoft Inc..
(Note: survey ------means field work)
