The requirements of the hardware for this software is quite simple and various. Users can use the reflecting stereoscope (VirtuoZo-G) as well as red-green glasses; use the standard mouse as well as handwheel/footdisk and 3D mouse for mapping.

VirtuoZo S/M provides the function of recording surveying information and collecting features in the stereo model directly. Combined with the information from aerial triangulation calculation and absolute orientation these relative coordinates can be converted into geodetic coordinates to output real geodetic DLG in map block. In this way, the productivity has been greatly improved because there is no need to waiting for the measurement of control points coordinates which will delay the photo surveying. And the needless repetition work has been deduced because the result vector of surveying can be saved in digital format in place of be recorded in the hardcopy firstly and then digitalized in online mapping system.
