Users often need to mosaic
multiple images, be they satellite, aerial or generic images.
These images may be orthorectified, rectified or totally unrectified.
Ideally, the user would like to create a seamless image with smooth
tone and color transitions. ImageXuite v 1.1 is a professional software
tool especially suited to these kinds of applications.
Main
Features
ImageXuite v 1.1 includes dodging and mosaicking functions for many
types of imagery:
ImageXuite v 1.1
creates smooth tone transitions using advanced dodging techniques
ImageXuite
v 1.1 supports two mosaicking techniques:
- a
mosaic along the mosaic line
- multiple
mosaics along the transition zone
The
direction of the mosaic line can be selected arbitrarily and (in
multiple mosaic) the width of each transition zone is adjustable.
These features enable seamless large-scale mosaics.
ImageXuite
v 1.1 allows the user to avoid buildings or cross buildings vertically
to process large-scale city images to realize seamless mosaics
ImageXuite v 1.1 provides the ability
to automatic or semi-automatic select mosaic lines to enhance processing
efficiency
Perform dodging and mosaic functions in map sheet units
ImageXuite v 1.1 is wizard driven
to further simplify the process
Example
Because ImageXuite v 1.1
provides dodging with the MASK dodging principle, it can quickly
generate images with smooth tone transitions. ImageXuite v 1.1 also
efficiently eliminates geometric mutation and tone mutation around
the area of the mosaic line because of the application of geometric
correction and tone adjustment along this line. A typical example
is shown here (photo scale 1:3,000):

How
to use ImageXuite v 1.1
Using the operations wizard
within ImageXuite v 1.1, it is easy to reduce complex operations
to a simple procedure. At the same time, ImageXuite v 1.1 provides
detailed context-sensitive help to allow all operations to be but
a mouse click away. The following ImageXuite v 1.1 flowchart serves
to detail the process flow:
